Born and raised in Chicago, as a child Ron Chandler escaped a dysfunctional home life by seeking sanctuary in the pages of books.
A love of reading became a love of writing, and after a colorful life of more than six decades, he has many stories to tell.
Ron has no literary degree from a prestigious university. No National Book Awards or Booker Prizes to boast about. Just stories influenced by life experiences (and a vivid imagination) that he hopes you will enjoy.
A member of the Authors Guild, he now maintains an office in San Francisco, and lives in Panama City, Panama, along with his wife Erica and their cats.
"I don't write to become a literary force, or to win awards, or for fame and fortune. I write for the enjoyment of the process. The sheer joy of crafting that chapter, or paragraph, or single line until it's just right and I can sit back and say, 'Damn, that's good,' and hope my readers will agree."
